Diwali Celebrations
21st October and 24th October were special days for Rainmakers as we all celebrated Diwali before the actual holidays.
On 21st October, we organized a Quiz contest in presence of Marty, he was part of Go Green team. It was an interesting event where people were asked questions about two themes
- Know your peers
- Ramayana (One of the greatest India Epic)
On Monday, 24th October we started the day with sweets and Diwali wishes, wonderful snacks in afternoon followed by special delicious lunch. Immediately after lunch Aparna announce Diwali gift and everyone welcomed it with big cheers.
Then we had Tambola time, Chitra was hosting the event and everyone played, cheers and shouting for each house and each corner.
What a wonderful day with full of fun, food and masti!
Pictures are coming soon!!!
Rainmakers walked the Ramp
On 22nd Sep, 2011 we organized fashion show at recreation area of our India office. Three themes were decided on which participants were asked to be prepared and walk on the ramp.
- Ethnic
- Formal
- Open (something innovative)
Participants from all 6 teams walked the ramp and made the event a success in-spite of having meeting lined up, midyear appraisals in progress and fire fighting the release targets. Thanks to all Rainmakers from bottom of our Hearts. Especially Rajiv for hosting the event, Ajay for being official photographer and Atif for recording entire event.
Live the moments again, here are some pictures

Event group History & Adieu to old Event group
We started event group way back in 2006 with motivation of building team spirit among employees and also adding fun factor with regular events and celebrations that could be morale booster for employees. Idea was to provide opportunity to all so that everyone can spare some fun time apart from regular work.
Chitra and Rajiv started event group in 2006 and Binay and Kushagra joined in 2010. They did great job of managing all events, celebrations and fun activities till August 2011. In August 2011 we (Ankush, Chris & Jalvin) took over from old event group.
Here is our old event group (Rajiv, Kushagra, Binay & Chitra)
And here we are, new event group (Ankush, Chris & Jalvin)
We hope to meet high standards set by old event group and keep up the momentum and fun factor alive among employees.

Independence Day celebrations
On 12th August, last working day before Independence Day we organized multiple events around I-Day theme.
We started the day with having tricolour sweets, beautiful office decoration with balloons, tapes and tricolour kites and also put Indian National flag in office reception. After lunch time we started fun time with events. Below were 3 events we scheduled.
Notice Board Decoration
Each team was assigned a notice board and they were asked to decorate their respective notice boards on Independence Day theme. Event team along with our MD evaluated these notice boards based on short speech by event team members on each board.
30 Second speech, to complete a sentence “I am proud to be an Indian, because.....”
Debate: each team was given a topic to debate
Topic I Lok Pal Bill – 8th Wonder (FOR) Go Green (AGAINST)
Topic II Is War the only solution for Indo-Pak Problem – Quanta Shine (FOR) Cloud XI (AGAINST)
Topic III Free Trade –Stingers (For) The Flintstones (Against)
It was very exciting to see presentations on notice board where each team covered theme patriotism and remembered proud moments of India and also freedom fighters and major contributors. Some poems and burning issues were really interesting and eye opening.
30 second speech was very interesting to listen and we all felt proud to be Indian.
Debate was most interesting part of the day where team fought for the topics given and we as audience get to know many facts and viewpoints. Each comment was applauded by the audience. Question answer session post debate was also interesting part.We ended the day with declaring scorecard, not much juggling in overall ranking but some good performance put by some team lowered down margin in ranking. So all we can say the competition is at its peak.
Ending this post with score card including I-Day scores and some photographs.
